The Stormcatcher.

When the darkening clouds
Sweep past on their stately progress over the beach,
Holding fast to their heavy load of pain,
A warning shadow spreads over the empty spaces,
And the bay hangs its head in fear,
Hiding itself as they pass.
If  you are brave you can reach up into the darkness,
Scoop down a piece of cold, wet cloud,
And squeeze its heart,
Allowing the raindrops to trickle out
Through your fingers, laughing,
And escape downwards through the grains of sand.
